First Financial Celebrates 76 Years in Business with the BlueClaws

On August 20th, we celebrated 76 years in business by sponsoring a Lakewood BlueClaws game at FirstEnergy Park. It was a beautiful night out for baseball and fun for all attendees. Thousands of fans gathered to watch the BlueClaws beat the Delmarva Shorebirds and celebrate the credit union’s 76th anniversary. One First Financial member who entered our Payoff Pitch Contest in a branch before the game, and one lucky fan who entered at the game each got the chance to win a $250 VISA® Gift Card if the BlueClaws hit a homerun on the 76th pitch of the game. We also raffled off a baseball themed gift basket for another fan to win, as well as two (2) tickets were raffled off to a First Financial member to watch the game from the Champions Club Suite and celebrate with the First Financial staff at the game. Fans also took home a Penny Smart and Buster mousepad giveaway!

Unfortunately, a homerun was not hit on the 76th pitch of the game, but First Financial member Faith Clayton of Brick and lucky fan Brendan Kunzman of Brick each won a $76 VISA® Gift Card. Geraldine Hennicke of Manchester won the First Financial baseball themed gift basket and Lisa Davenport of Lakewood was the First Financial member who won the two (2) Champions Club Suite tickets for the game on 8/20. Congratulations to all!

First Financial President and CEO, Issa Stephan, threw the ceremonial first pitch to start the game. Nancy Culp, First Financial’s AVP of Lending and Sales, also took to the radio during the 2nd inning of the game to speak with WOBM-AM 1160 & 1310 about the benefits of First Financial membership, what a credit union is, and First Financial products and services.
